Pinpoint 696 really made me work for it. At first glance, Scissors felt straightforward. I immediately thought about cutting tools. Maybe different types of cuts? That seemed reasonable, so I guessed along those lines. Okay, fine. One clue is basically nothing in this game. When Golf clubs appeared, I felt a bit more confident. Sports equipment? Maybe. Or objects with irons? That word irons was loud in my head, so I went down that road. Now I was two guesses in and slightly annoyed. With Guitars, things got interesting. Now I had scissors, golf clubs, and guitars. My brain tried to force a structural connection—objects with strings, objects with parts, curved shapes, anything. I locked onto things with strings and went for it. At that point, I realized I was thinking too mechanically. I was focused on what these objects have, not how they exist. Then came the fourth clue: Helices (DNA is usually right). That parenthetical note was huge. Suddenly the word right did not feel casual anymore. It felt directional. Helices made me think about spirals first, so naturally I guessed something about things that spiral. But this time, it did not feel completely off. I was circling the real idea. I just had not landed on it. Then the final clue dropped: Gloves (🫲 + 🫱). And that was the whole puzzle. Gloves have a left-hand version and a right-hand version. You cannot swap them. Scissors? There are left-handed scissors. Golf clubs? Left- and right-handed versions. Helices? DNA points straight to chirality, where mirror-image forms are genuinely different. Everything clicked at once.
